Delimitation of seismic foci clustering of historical earthquakes in the Czech Republic and its vicinity was examined by the method of constructing smoothed mutual epicenter distances and isolines of released seismic energy. A special regional catalog was compiled using 3 published earthquake source catalogs. The segmentation of the Peripienian belt was studied and discussed with the aim to assess the maximum potential magnitude of an earthquake in that area.
