William and Catherine Rieley Borman were both born and married in Ireland. William was born in 1800 and Catherine in 1816. The exact place in Ireland of their marriage is not known nor is the date. It is believed they were probably married between 1834 and 1840. William and Catherine moved from Ireland to Pennsylvania in 1847 with their family of three children : John, Patrick, and Johanna. It appears that eleven children in all were born to this couple. William died 6 June 1886 in Wisconsin and Catherine died 22 January 1892 also in Wisconsin where the family had lived since c. 1859.
