Historia medieval de Miranda de Ebro
註釋A comprehensive history of the town of Miranda de Ebro, a geostrategic location in northern Spain during the Middle Ages. Frequent references to the Jewish community of Miranda, based on Cantera Burgos's study "La judería de Miranda de Ebro (1099-1492)" (1987), relate to the high taxes they had to pay and the regulation of moneylending (usury). Pp. 183-190 describe the rebellion of Pedro Ruiz Sarmiento, sire of Miranda (1449-50), who was known for his persecution of Jews and Conversos, whom he expelled from public office in compliance with the "limpieza de sangre" regulations (e.g. Toledo, 1449). Pp. 307-602 contain documents in Spanish and Latin.
