SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome)
註釋WHO declared the global outbreak of SARS to be over in July 2003. Worldwide numbers of SARS cases from the original outbreak included 774 deaths, about 10% of all reported cases. In early 2004, several new cases of SARS were investigated in China where the outbreak was thought to have originated from a laboratory. No new cases have been reported since. Resurgence of SARS remains a distinct possibility and calls for international vigilance.
