I Call You Friends
註釋Father Timothy Radcliffe is a charismatic spiritual leader who served as head of the Dominican order from 1992 to 2001. His homilies and speeches attract large audiences because he speaks in an accessible way about vital concerns, from the Church's authority in a multicultural world to the dignity and attractiveness of celibacy. Timothy Radcliffe writes eloquently about friendship between people and reminds us that "we are called to be God's friends, to share his life." Throughout, Radcliffe speaks of fundamental religious truths in a manner which is powerful yet undogmatic. If millions of people today feel disoriented and disconnected, he writes, it is because the dominant "story" lived out in our society has failed to create human community or satisfy a deep spiritual hunger to love and be loved.
