Using Experiments in Leadership
註釋We looked at the impact of leaders switching between empowering and directive leadership styles on team outcomes through a laboratory experiment. Confederates acted out two different leadership styles: empowering and directive and led teams for performing a series of tasks. The experiment had four conditions, two experimental and two control. In the first condition, leaders changed their style from directive to empowering. In the second condition, leaders changed their style from empowering to the directive. In the third and the fourth condition, leaders enacted only empowering and only directive leadership, respectively. This case describes the execution of the experimental design with some practical learnings.
