註釋Thomas Bignold (1761-1835) was born at Charolwood, near Westerham, Kent, England, the son of John Bignold (1724-1794). He left Kent and settled at Norwich, ca. 1783. He married Sarah Cocksedge Ling, a widow, in 1785. They had six children1786-1788. He was one of the founders of the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society.
