1946-2006
註釋This publication marks the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) by exploring its evolving role and its achievements, from establishment in 1946 to the present day, against a backdrop of rapid global changes in social, political and economic affairs. It also looks ahead to 2015 and considers the challenges that must be addressed in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and thereby help transform the lives of millions of children. The first four chapters were originally published in the State of the World's Children 1996 and have been revised and re-edited for this review.
