註釋Examines the process of "indirect Aryanization" of Jewish property carried out in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in 1939-43, facilitated by "Aryanization loans" made to the prospective buyers. The main provider of these loans was the Kreditanstalt der Deutschen (KdD), the biggest Sudeten German bank, which had close links with the National Socialist movement in the Sudetenland. The study is based on 255 cases, in which 289 persons benefited. Examines the personalities of the Aryanizers, all of whom were ethnic Germans. Some were party members or "fellow travelers", but some belonged to the "grey zone" - in Bajohr's terms, "quiet sharers of advantages". The type of conscientious Aryanizer who tried to help the victim of Aryanization, also described by Bajohr, is not identifiable in this sample. Aryanization in the Czech Lands was facilitated by the antisemitic consensus of the Sudeten German population. Pp. 183-452 contain protocols of KdD's managing board and loan commission.
