The Affair of The 45
註釋Marge and Jack are assigned to protect a team of historians who want to monitor the Battle of Culloden, at the end of The 45. That's the 1745 uprising of Highland clans led by Bonnie Prince Charlie. Things don't go according to history or the mission plan as Prince Charlie follows his own judgment as well as advice from brilliant French Marshal de Saxe, rather than bowing to guidance from older and "wiser" but very parochial clan leaders. Battles brew, skirmishes throw the countryside into turmoil and Justice Thomas hunts the Highlander camp followers with a ready noose. As those events unfold, Marge is the subject of her own government witch hunt, stirred up by Representative Julie Taggart, who is determined to punish whoever had lawfully executed her uncle, corrupt Bureau of Investigation Agent James Taggart. Marge escapes the noose, avoids the battles and faces down her accuser, but she cannot evade her ultimate fate: a full costume Royal Coronation Ball.
