John Lovett's Account Book of Ships and Prizes, 1780
註釋Documents the name, sailing date, and captain of ships and schooners, and details the goods these ships brought back to Lovett. Lovett was a ship merchant and captain in Beverly, Massachusetts. During the Revolutionary War privateering ships, privately owned vessels, were used to assist in defending the colonies from the British Navy. In return, they received profits from prizes captured.
