Abandoned at birth, Ernest is a weak and vulnerable boy whose home is an orphanage in East Africa. Despite his withered limbs, though, he is not a helpless child. Independent and strong in spirit, he sets out on an adventure accompanied by a loyal, shape-shifting lizard and a gravity-defying swaddling cloth.
