The first was the youthful, healthy phase which reminded us to love life, love others, forgive quickly and not worry too much about dirty feet or slobber! The next was her infirmed phase; those years when she succumbed to blindness and increasingly restricted mobility which tested our own concepts of loyalty, care, patience and selflessness. And finally, the third phase, which brought about her passing and all of the grief and reflection such painful loss will inevitably evoke.While losing our precious "Sandy Girl" after nearly 15 years broke our hearts and was almost unbearably painful, taking stock of all the joy we experienced, all the lessons we learned, and all the love we shared - punctuated by her presence in our lives - has given me an immense sense of comfort, and (hopefully!) has resulted in something positive and enduring; a fitting tribute to and celebration of a life so well lived.From my heart to yours, I truly hope you enjoy and are similarly comforted by these Nuggets Worth Knowing.
