Catalogue of Music for Organ and Instruments
註釋This catalogue provides a listing of music where the organ has a chance to perform with other instruments in a chamber music situation. Each entry contains the bibliographical information for each title and a brief commentary or description of each piece, as well as information on level of difficulty, timing, mood, fingerings/pedalings and other performance aids when available. The pieces listed are suitable for concerts as well as religious services and include music for a variety of instruments. Repertoire is written in a variety of styles, from Baroque to contemporary. The catalog is divided into two sections: the first is a listing of music for organ and instruments: (e.g. organ and brass, organ and woodwinds, organ and strings, organ and percussion); the second section is a listing of music for keyboard: (e.g. organ and piano, organ four-hands, or two organs). Entry to each section is by composer with titles listed alphabetically under the composer's name. Three indexes complete the work: a title index; an index to chorale melodies or hymn tunes used in the various compositions; and an index to the number of performers required to perform a work. This catalog will be of interest to church organists needing to find a piece for organ and brass appropriate for Easter, or something for a visiting instrumentalist to play for a random Sunday service. It will be of use to teachers who would like to introduce their organ students to the experience of playing a work for organ and violin. It will also be useful to other musicians looking for a piece to play with the organ.
