註釋In the fall of 2001 the Museum of Fine Arts (Museum of New Mexico) in Santa Fe exhibited thirty, mostly unseen, paintings by native New Mexican Eliseo Rodriguez, considered one of the state's foremost Hispano artists best known for his work in straw applique. Prior to this extraordinary event Rodriguez's prolific, nearly seven decades-long work as a painter had been largely unrecognized. This catalogue features two dozen paintings-ranging from still lifes to New Mexican landscapes to traditional religious themes-made by Rodriguez dating from the early 1930s to the late 1970s and biographical essays on the artist's life and work.
