This collection contains minutes, agenda, and reports of the Division of American Missions' Church Work in Negro Communities program (1950-1955) and its Office for Intercultural Outreach (1956-1961). Minutes, agenda, and reports are from meetings of the Subcommittee on Negro Missions (1950); Subcommittee on Work in Negro Communities (1951-1952); Subcommittee on Church Work in Negro Communities (1953-1955); and Advisory Committee on Intercultural Outreach (1960-1961). These records concern program activities in supporting and assisting African American congregations, providing consultation to churches in transitional communities, and providing and supporting ministry to minority groups in the U.S. Also included are minutes from a Conference to Explore Possibilities of Intersynodical Cooperation in Missions Among Minor.
