Igiene de'tipografi
註釋"First and only edition of a detailed study of diseases of printers and those involved in the printing industry, based on historical research. This was in fact the first such study of work related illness of the printing trade since Ramazzini. Buniva begins with a curious overview of early printing, followed by health complaints of typefounders, typesetters, correctors, and printers. In each case he studies specific working conditions, and gives a detailed description of their activities and the dangers involved, ranging from the lead contamination, to bad backs and eyesight. Interestingly he comments on the role of trade unions on the improvement of working conditions. Buniva (1761-1834) was professor of medicine in Turin, and towards the later years of his life consultant to the trade union Pio-tipografica di Torino." -- Antiquarian bookseller's description, 2019.
