?Yehoshua Gitay is an established scholar and his book makes various contributions to the field of rhetorical criticism. Among these is his call for more of a distinction between literary criticism and public criticism. I find his chapter on poetics of exile and suffering to be among the most interesting, important and substantive contributions of this book.?
