註釋This is one of a ten-volume series comprising the collected works of the Russian theatrical actor, producer and teacher, Konstantin Stanislavsky. This volume, which was far from finished when he died, was entirely assembled by his students from drafts he left behind. The translation is of the revised Russian edition, containing material from Stanislavsky's attempts to describe the rehearsal process. It also includes an appendix on his own plan for the creation of an acting school, and suggested exercises.
