註釋The life story of a self-sufficient industrious determined woman told in a collection of autobiographical short stories. Each of the stories describe a significant event; family and friends relevant to the event; and places that were important to her. Glimpses of Ashurst and Severnak family history are found across the collection. They begin with immigration during the early 1900's of her grand-parents James and Elizabeth (Fox) Ashurst from Trimdon Colliery, Durham County, England to the small coal mining towns of Cle Elum and Roslyn, Washington in the United States ending with her very positive outlook at the age of 70.
