An Investigation of Freezing of a Liquid Flowing Over a Flat Plate
註釋The rate at which the solid phase develops in a fluid, moving with Blasius flow over a chilled flat plate, is analyzed. The time dependent, local, solid layer thickness is determined as a function of the pertinent physical properties, the plate surface temperature and a one spatial dimension heat flux. Experimental equipment to measure the heat flux, transient ice growth and steady state ice profile is described. The spatial variation of the steady state ice profile is observed with respect to the streamwise coordinate. (Author).
