註釋Presents results of a survey of Ontario residents that focused on attitudes toward alcohol policies. Policy issues covered in the survey include access controls, such as taxes on alcoholic beverages, beer and liquor store hours, legal drinking age, hours of alcohol service in bars and restaurants, and places where alcoholic beverages can be served; and alcohol promotions and counter-promotions, including government advertising against drinking, warning labels, alcohol advertising, and sponsorship of cultural or sporting events. In addition, the survey examined the perceived convenience to the general public of alcohol distribution outlets in Ontario. Information is included on trends from 1989 to 1995. Results include cross-sectional data on policy issues according to respondents' gender, age, and personal drinking experiences.
