Glenowen: Or the Fairy Palace
註釋Eleanor Sleath's 1815 children's book was first published in 1815 by Black and Company. This delightful and instructive story teaches how friendship and good deeds can be rewarded through the adventure of Charles and Rosa Evelynn who reside in Wales. The book has been out of print for 2 centuries but is now available with a biography of the author who has also written three gothic novels: The Orphan of the Rhine (1798), Whose the Murderer (1802), The Nocturnal Minstrel (1810), Pyrenean Banditti (1811), as well as a novel of manners: The Bristol Heiress (1809).
