From Memory's Shrine (Illustrated Edition)
註釋Carmen Sylva was the literary name adopted by Elisabeth, the Queen Consort of Roumania (1843-1916). Aged 16 she had been considered as a possible bride for the future Edward VII but he showed no interest in her. This memoir of her early life and figures important to her during those years was first published in 1911.
