註釋This document proposes an interpretation of the contemporary constitutional history of Quebec and an overview of the main reforms, notably the unilateral repatriation of the constitution in 1982, the Meech Lake Accord, and the 1992 Charlottetown Accord. It begins with a history of a minority French-speaking people in the unitary Canadian federation, then reviews Quebec's demands in forming a national government to meet the needs of an open, pluralistic, & modern society. The final section reviews the political situation of Quebec following the October 1995 referendum.
