This is a collection of 70's children's paraphernalia from both sides of the former Berlin Wall. Boltanski is interested in how young people, living in different ideological systems, express themselves. The reality of the image immediately takes on an aspect of nostalgia: a sense of commemoration, even if the photo was taken the previous day. The photographs of objects recall a subject and its absence, the lack of a person.
