註釋I am Anne Jordan and this is about me, well just a little bit! I was born in Ripon North Yorkshire and moved to Leicester in 1978 after getting married. 'I have a dream. * is a well known start to the life changing speech that Martin Luther King delivered in 1963 in which he movingly called for the end of racial inequality and discrimination. I listened to these words in church one Sunday morning and it made me think, what is MY dream? At the time I was a Skills for Life tutor, working mainly with adults with learning difficulties and or disabilities but also with people with literacy needs and I have also taught adults recovering from mental health problems. I retired from my job in June 2013. I began writing in 2007. All my stories have characters with a learning difficulty or a physical disability in them. At the end of some of my stories I have written a short 'Fact byte' about the disability / learning difficulty mentioned in the story. My dream for the future is that dignity and acceptance for those perceived as 'different' will replace discrimination in all its repugnant forms.I hope you enjoy reading these stories.Anne Jordan.*Quote from Martin Luther King 1929-1968 "I have a dream" in his speech delivered on his March on Washington rally, for jobs and freedom.
