註釋Dear Friends, Can you believe there are two men who appear to be pursuing me? Two! They must be mad. Why me? Not for my looks, not at my age, and surely not for my money, because the Lord knows I haven't much of that. I'm barely able to keep the horses fed. If Gordon weren't supplying their hay, I'd probably have to give up Northwind Stables and my dear old rescue horses as well. I'm sure glad that my niece Marik is living here at the farm with Mom and me now. The two of them get along like a house afire, and she's taken the burden of looking after the old dear off of me, as well as pouring money into Northwind, bless her generous heart. However, I'm not sure how long she will stay here with us. She's gotten involved with that cop, Stan, and we all know how that works. I lost Serena to her love-affair with my nephew Rob; I expect I may lose Marik the same way. Sorry about dumping all my worries on you. Without the support of my Monday-breakfast group and my Guides, I don't know how I'd get through this life. If you have any suggestions or a different perspective for me, I'd love to hear from you.
