註釋
Presents the results of a survey conducted in November 2011, undertaken by the HL-senteret and carried out by TNS Gallup on 1,522 respondents. The results confirm that anti-Jewish stereotypes exist in Norwegian society. Over 12% of the population can be considered significantly prejudiced against Jews, placing them on a par with the UK, Holland, Denmark, and Sweden. However, some antisemitic prejudices are more widespread in the Norwegian populace. Nearly 20% of the respondents agree that "world Jewry promotes Jewish interests behind the scenes", and 26% believe that Jews consider themselves superior to others. The survey further reveals that 10% feel antipathy toward Jews, while 8% do not want Jewish neighbors or friends. Attitudes toward the Holocaust are complex: Holocaust education is viewed as necessary, but the Jews are seen as exploiting the memory of the Holocaust, and 38% believe that Israel's treatment of the Palestinians can be equated with the Nazis' treatment of the Jews. There is a clear connection between antisemitism and anti-Israel attitudes, but this does not imply that antisemitism motivates all those who support anti-Israel statements. Half of those who hold radically anti-Israel views show no antisemitic attitudes, nor do 75% of those who support a more moderate pro-Palestinian position. Concludes that the connection between antisemitic and anti-Israel attitudes is more complex than is sometimes asserted in public debates.
