Extract: As in many areas of these United States, southern New Hampshire is growing rapidly in terms of industrial, commercial and residential development, bringing changes in rural land ownership and rural land use. this report is intended to increase the knowledge of some of the attitudes and characteristics of certain rural landowners in one area of southern New Hampshire woodland owners in Rockingham County. this information is offered to assist those interested in woodland resources and in developing programs to meet the needs and concerns of individual landowners, while at the same time providing for efficient use and protection of these woodland resources for the general social good.
