Story Place
註釋Accompanies the first major survey exhibition of historical and contemporary art work from Cape York Peninsula's three diverse cultural regions - west Cape, east Cape and the rainforest. Includes a series of essays, interviews and artist and community profiles. Over 300 art works and cultural objects including shields, fibre works, sculptures, ceramics, paintings and works on paper were sourced from private and public collections throughout Australia. More than 60 Indigenous artists featured. The term "story place" is used to describe an area of particular significance - natural features such as mountains and water sources relating to spiritual or cultural beliefs.
