This is a compilation of three reports addressing market durability issues with products made from lodgepole pine that has been affected by mountain pine beetle (MPB) infestation. The first report describes the establishment of accelerated field tests to determine the decay resistance of blue-stained post-MPB lodgepole pine sapwood and non-stained sapwood with reference samples of Scots pine sapwood. The second is a comparative technical review of the nature of blue stain in post-MPB wood and the differences between blue stain, mould, and decay.
