Geology, Archaeology and Climate Change in Blackwater Draw, New Mexico
註釋The work of F. Earl Green of Texas Tech University at Blackwater Locality No. 1, located near Portales, New Mexico, comprises some of the most important research in the history of the Clovis type site. Earl Green, as much as anyone, had detailed personal knowledge about the stratigraphy and geochronology of the Clovis type site, but he was never able to put it all together for publication before his untimely death. In this volume C. Vance Haynes and Jim Warnica, themselves key players in the history of research at the Blackwater Draw site, work from Green’s field notes, publications, and personal communications (included as appendices) to make his work available and accessible in published form. They present Green’s archaeological, geoarchaeological and paleoenvironmental interpretations and augment them with their own insights. The book is paperbound, approximately 200 pages and includes color photos.
