註釋The Book is in two parts: The Training Guide and The Work Book. Book One, The Training Guide, is a book for parents, and anyone else who has influence over any young person. It is meant to help the mentor to be a facilitator for the young person 8 to 18. Often, we say or find out that it is too late to do something. It's too late to learn how to play the piano and to write that novel. It's too late to build our fortune; we have worked too hard and spent all that we earned. It is too late to start a meaningful investment program. We shot through our education, our careers, worked hard and headed toward what we thought was the great longevity bonus of retirement or perpetual vacation. Well, some of us have gotten there only to discover that we are not ready and that the retirement dreams were an illusion. We are going to outlive our money and our relevance. Is it too late to do something about it? Sadly, for a lot of older Americans it is. The question then, is it too soon for our children to start learning now? One difficulty is in providing the right timely instruction. That is what I am about in writing this book. I think that the place to start the discussion about money is in the home, not the school of hard knocks. And who better to teach them but the parents. You do not have to become a subject matter expert just a good facilitator. Let's all learn together and maybe our lives will be enhanced. You're Never Too Young to start this learning process. Book Two, The Work Book, contains pages to be read by the children with illustrations that may be colored. The children are encouraged to ask questions. The book also has clues to where you can find answers to tough questions. You are never too old to like to color.
