Letters to Mary Faulkner include a letter from her cousin Cyrus Hamlin, a missionary in Turkey, reporting the death of his second wife (Harriet Lovell Hamlin). There are also letters from Charlotte Faulkner Reed Heustis to her sister Mary describing her trip from Boston down the Mississippi to Louisiana and then her return trip to Boston. Hannibal Hamlin writes to Faulkner informing her that his brother Cyrus plans to marry a third time, to Mary Eliza Tenney.
