註釋This publication contains proceedings of two meetings of a working group that encourages research on fishery management issues and the application of results in the management of Maritimes Region fisheries. The first meeting produced a list of fisheries management issues of importance in the Region and an inventory of current research projects, and identified priority items & issues for attention. The annex to this meeting includes summaries of projects and a discussion paper on a framework for evaluating fisheries management measures. The second meeting discussed working relationships of the working group, reports from other study groups, research planning, regulation of fishing effort, and other matters.
