Passport to Power
註釋Richard West is a teacher who was wrongly accused of misconduct. Although cleared of any crime, he changes course and teaches in a university. Boon, one of his overseas students, disappears. Then another is beaten for asking too many questions. In investgating what has happened to Boon, Richard discovers corruption in high places, trafficking of young women, and preparations for a coup. Set in the rugged central mountains of the South Island of New Zealand, the story takes Richard to a dangerous river pool and an old gold mining settlement and from tragedy to a dramatic rescue.
