Part one considers the legal system, including the development of Australian law and the legal system in contemporary Australia. Part two considers crime and the law. Throughout the text there are discussion questions, research exercises, essay questions and sample exam questions and answers. Includes a glossary, bibliography and index. Margaret White is a lawyer specialising in community legal education and secondary school legal studies. Helen Williams is a lawyer with extensive teaching experience and is currently manager of the Parliamentary Education and Community Relations Section of the Parliament of NSW.
