This volume includes nineteen lectures, discussing topics including but not limited to the history of astronomy, attacks on the Ptolemaic system, Tycho and Descartes, and defences of Jesuit astronomer Ruggero Giuseppe Boscovich (1711-1787) and Sir. Isaac Newton (1643-1727).
