註釋An collection of lectures on astronomy by the Jesuit scholar and scientist Domenico Troili (1722-1792), a professor of physics at the University of Modena beginning in 1772. This volume includes nineteen lectures, discussing topics including but not limited to the history of astronomy, attacks on the Ptolemaic system, Tycho and Descartes, and defences of Jesuit astronomer Ruggero Giuseppe Boscovich (1711-1787) and Sir. Isaac Newton (1643-1727).
