American Justice
註釋

Native Texan Jacob "Mack" McKenzie is a well-meaning patriot in mid-life crisis. Confronted by the cognitive dissonance that surrounds him, he has been humbled by divorce and an ill-timed foray into entrepreneurship. Though he moved away from Texas for college and stayed in the Mid-Atlantic to work and raise a family, he always remained a Texan at heart. While in New York for meetings to salvage his company, his intervention in a gang organized looting results in the death of the gang's leader; His newly beloved, Janie Harriman, a Southern Belle with a. trust fund, appreciates Mack for who he is and hopes to save him from the unjust machinery of government.

Using an innovative narrative technique giving voice to each of the characters having a stake in the outcome of Mack's trial, the author combines satire and drama to offer a humorous and poignant look at the fissures defining twenty-first century America.
