The Chopstick Sisters
註釋In the '70s a phenomenal pair of singing sisters from Ipoh, Malaysia, took Asia by storm. Their sprightly presentations: well-blended duets, versatile instrumental mastery, and entertaining dances, brought them fame, popularity, wealth and bookings in every major Asian city. Cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Saigon, Chiang Mai, Singapore, Manila, Macao, Taipei, Jakarta, Shanghai, Canton, and Beijing, embraced and doted on them. Spiritually sensitive, they had a penchant for visiting exotic temples, at the end of each gig. In their burgeoning hunger for the meaning of life, they became victims of a marauding shaman, enrapt by them. The tragic encounter broke their celebrated career and ended it. Their abrupt disappearance from the entertainment radar, then generated more smokes and fire, than lucid answers up to now.
