The Ring Airfoil with Deflected Control Surface in Steady Incompressible Flow
註釋A short review of the report is given the new numerical material added. The reciprocity theorem of wing theory in the special form for ring airfoils is used in deriving formulae for the distribution of radial force and pitching moment along the circumference and for the total lift and pitching moment caused by the deflection of a control surface. The numberical results show a strong influence of ring shape (characterized by the length-diameter ration) on the effectiveness of the control surface.
