註釋The book attempts to record some of the rich history of achievement and contribution of three separate schools, the thousands of students who have attended over the 100 years, and the hundreds of people who have worked in the schools. What follows is essentially a record of people and events with very little critical or evaluative comment. At times, the task was made difficult by the wealth of resource material available, though we are fortunate that so much original documentation still exists. At other times, the task was made difficult by the lack of any detail at all relating to an interesting and important event, just mentioned in passing. The author's original thought was to have ten roughly equal chapters, each covering a decade, but the view of the editorial committee was that, as students relate to 'their' head master or principal, the book should be divided that way. So quite a few chapters follow, their lengths being roughly proportional to the length of service. [p.1, ed].
