Founded in 1935 by a gathering of geographers including graduate students and faculty from universities, normal schools, and junior colleges, the Association of Pacific Coast Geographers has a long and rich history promoting geographical education, research and knowledge. Since 1952, the APCG has been the Pacific Coast Regional Division of the Association of American Geographers.
