註釋A series of reagents have been developed which can interact with nucleophilic sulfhydryl groups on proteins by a consecutive sequence of Michael reactions to form intra- and intermolecular cross-linked structures. These reagents are derivatives of citraconimide having spectroscopic probe residues on the imide nitrogen and water soluble or spectroscopically active leaving groups at the 4-position.
