Xander Zackery is an ordinary sixth grader.  He loves sports and hanging out with his friends, but he doesn't think there's anything special about him.  He will soon discover that he is completely wrong.  Xander is very special, and evil people want to stop him from reaching his full potential. 

When Xander's grandfather gives him a set of blank books, he's surprised and confused.  Xander will soon realize these books are part of a powerful magic legacy - and he'll have to protect them from a gathering darkness.
