The Colonial Waterbirds of Great Slave Lake, Northwest Territories
註釋This report documents the diversity, abundance, geographic distribution, and nesting chronology of the colonial waterbirds of Great Slave Lake 1986 to 1995. The species recorded, in declining order of abundance, were the California gull (Larus californicus), herring gull (Larus argentatus), common tern (Sterna hirundo), mew gull (Larus canus), Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea), ring-billed gull (Larus delawarensis), Caspian tern (Sterna caspia), parasitic jaeger (Stercorarius parasiticus), and Bonaparte's gull (Larus philadelphia). The report also assesses the status of 15 other species reported on and near the lake, such as the American white pelican (Pelecanus erhythrorhynchos) and Franklin's gull (Larus pipixcan).
