註釋Martin (Marty) Lamont is 12 years old and he has Asperger's Syndrome. He is a student at the Academy for Gifted Children, a part of Southern College in Nashville. His cousin, Jennifer (Jenny) Roberts is also 12 years old and while she isn't on Marty's academic level, she is exceptionally bright. As Marty and Jenny's relationship deepens, Jenny is continuing in her role as Marty's mentor and source of empathy, social coaching and encouragement. It's been an eventful year, with Marty taking SAT & ACT to enter Harvard in the Fall of 1963, when Marty and Jenny will be thirteen. Marty's parents finally agree to him moving to Boston to live with his Aunt Anita (who just happens to be Jenny's mother). Marty and Jenny are excited, though, about the possibility of them living in the Boston area and being together during their holidays and vacation breaks - and maybe weekends!
