Connecticut 1961), beautifully illustrated with period photographs and full page color plates of selected art pieces. The first section examines the historical context of the early 20th century in Europe, Mexico and the United States and the fundamental role that De Zayas (the only Mexican) had, along with photographer Alfred Stieglitz, writer Guillaume Apollinaire and art gallery owner Paul Guillaume, in the introduction of modern art in New York in the early 20th century. The second part of the book is a catalogue of caricatures, drawings and photographs by De Zayas published in diverse magazines in the United Status and Mexico. Includes a detailed biographic chronology.
