註釋(ages 9 - 12) What if your best friend wants you to help her shoplift? What if you really want to visit that chat room but you know you are not allowed to? What if you have to walk past kids selling drugs on the way home from school? And what if you don't want to be friends with someone anymore? Think for Yourself offers sensible advice on how to make smart choices in difficult situations. The author breaks the book into "dilemma solving segments" by describing a situation and asking the reader "Why is this a dilemma?" She then asks the reader to think of a solution to the problem, and then determine if there is a problem with the solution, and if so, what? Finally, she looks at finding a way around this problem and comes to a resolution that the reader can easily and happily use now and apply in future difficult situations.
